The Azerbaijani delegation visited Uzbekistan on April 3-4.

The delegation, which included the Chairman of the Audiovisual Council of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ismat Sattarov, met with the Director General of the Information and Mass Communications Agency under the Administration of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Asadjon Khodjayev on April 3 in Tashkent.

The perspectives of information security, expansion of bilateral cooperation between the two countries were discussed at the meeting. The importance of implementing specific projects for the development of media relations was emphasized. The Uzbek side expressed interest in studying Azerbaijan's experience in the field of media and information, as well as in the fight against fake news. During the negotiations, the importance of strengthening the exchange of news and experience between leading information agencies of the two countries was emphasized.

During the visit, the delegation also visited the Azerbaijan Cultural Center named after Heydar Aliyev. The Cultural Center is important in the development of Azerbaijani-Uzbek friendly ties. The Director of the Center Samir Abbasov informed the guests that there are Heydar Aliyev Museum, Azerbaijan-Uzbek Friendship Museum, Museum of History and Statehood of Azerbaijan and Carpet Museum in the Cultural Сenter.
