The Audiovisual Council has announced two competitions for nationwide terrestrial radio broadcasting licenses

A regular meeting of the Audiovisual Council of the Republic of Azerbaijan was held on November 7, 2024. The issues related to free and usable for broadcasting radio frequencies for broadcasting were discussed at the meeting.

First of all, in order to expand the coverage of the programs of "Azerbaijan International Radio" broadcasting in various languages, relevant radio frequencies from a number of stations of the country were allocated to "Azerbaijan Television and Radio Broadcasting" CJSC.

Then, taking into account the availability of free and usable radio frequencies from the "Baku TV Tower Complex" based on the information received from the State Administration of Radio Frequencies, as well as the importance of effective usage of radio frequencies, it was decided to announce from 18 November 2024 two competitions for granting of nationwide terrestrial radio broadcasting licenses.
