A regular meeting of the Audiovisual Board was held, during which 4 new licences were issued

On October 18, 2024 the regular meeting of the Audiovisual Council of the Republic of Azerbaijan was held. During the meeting, a number of applications for the issuance of licenses for audiovisual media activities were considered.

By the relevant decisions of the Audiovisual Council, licenses of the universal platform operator and video on demand (VoD) service provider have been issued to "ABC-Telecom" LLC (service name: "Kontakt TV"). Additionally, decisions were made to grant licenses of platform broadcaster not performing satellite transmission to "SESTV" LLC (TV channel name: "Ses TV") and "Biznes TV" LLC (TV channel name: "Biznes TV").

After the issuance of new licenses, the number of audiovisual media entities in the Republic of Azerbaijan reached 95 (with 135 licensed activities). At present, there are 42 television and 21 radio channels, 5 VoD service providers, 2 multiplex operators, and 53 platform operators operating with a license from the Audiovisual Council.
