On November 4, 2022, the meeting with media representatives was held in the city of Guba, organized by the Media Development Agency in order to hold discussions on the development of regional media.

The purposes of the meeting, which was also represented by the Press Council, Audiovisual Council and UNEC Research Foundation, were to take effective and necessary steps towards the development of regional media, to hold decisive discussions on this topic, to accelerate the promotion of industry innovations in regional media and to ensure the close participation of professional personnel in this process.

At the beginning of the meeting, the National Anthem was sounded, the memories of the national leader and the martyrs of the Patriotic War were commemorated with 1 minute of silence.

The Executive Director of the Media Development Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ahmad Ismayilov, in his opening speech, emphasized that the victory in the 44-day Patriotic War under the leadership of the victorious Supreme Commander-in-chief created great enthusiasm in the activities of the country's media. , He also noted the need to implement projects to strengthen the personnel potential of regional media, to ensure the personal and professional development of media representatives.

Chairman of the Press Council Rashad Majid noted the importance of the joint activities of the Media Development Agency and the Press Council in the direction of regional media development, and noted that the steps taken to introduce innovations in the regional media will have a positive impact on the development of the country's media in general.

The meeting continued with discussions concerning strengthening the technical infrastructure of regional media, improving the professionalism and economic independence of the staff.
