National Television and Radio Council held an event on “ARB Shimal” and “ARB Gunesh” regional television channels.

In accordance with the "State program on combating illicit trafficking in narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances and their precursors for 2019-2024", representatives of National Television and Radio Council had a meeting on December 9-10, 2021 at the regional TV channels "ARB Shimal" and "ARB Gunesh" operating in the northern region. 

The meeting was attended by the head of the Legal and international relations department of the office of National Television and Radio Council Nemat Javadov, the assistant to the Chairman of the Council Hashim Alimammadzada, the adviser of the Legal and international relations department of the office of the Council Aykhan Sadigli, heads of "ARB Shimal" and "ARB Gunesh" channels and responsible persons of program and news departments.

Within the framework of the meetings, the issues of explaining to the public the provisions and requirements of the legislation on combating illegal circulation of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances and their precursors in accordance with the state program and the role of regional media, including television channels in organizing of propaganda work among citizens for public education, as well as financial and technical problems in this area were discussed.

Representatives of the Council explained to broadcasters their duties and measures to be taken in the field of organization of special programs on combating drug addiction, broadcasting of social videos and submission of reports on these broadcasts to the Council.
