The Audiovisual Council organized next seminar for the students of Baku State University
On May 23, 2025 the Audiovisual Council of the Republic of Azerbaijan organized a training seminar on the topic "Principles of Human Rights Protection in the Media" for the students of the Faculty of Journalism of Baku State University.
First, Samir Khalidoglu, deputy dean of the Faculty of Journalism of BSU, emphasized the importance of the three-year-long cooperation with the Audiovisual Council.
Then, Taleh Guliyev, head of the Communication Sector of the Audiovisual Council, provided students with detailed information about the Council’s areas of activity, audiovisual media entities, as well as the work carried out by the Council. He also spoke about the awareness-raising initiatives organized by the Council.
Next, Aykhan Sadigli, chief adviser of the Department of the Law and International Cooperation of the Audiovisual Council, delivered a comprehensive presentation on the topic "Principles of Human Rights Protection in the Media". He provided students with detailed information regarding the audiovisual media entities and protection of human rights in their activities, as well as the relevant legal requirements, and the mechanisms for their implementation. The seminar continued in an interactive format, featuring answers to students’ questions and explanations based on real-life cases and examples.
It should be noted that the seminars regularly held at BSU are conducted in accordance with the Memorandum of Understanding signed between the Audiovisual Council of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Media Development Agency and BSU.
