MUBARIZ ASGAROV

 

Mubariz Asgarov was born in Ujar in 1962. In 1986 he entered the Faculty of Journalism of Baku State University. Later he continued his education at the Faculty of Journalism of Lomonosov Moscow State University. He graduated from the same university with honors in 1992.

In 1992, he started working at the Azerbaijan State Television, where he worked as a senior editor and head of the artistic-experimental group. During those years, he was the author and host of the programs "Ve..." and "Gulp". Since 1998, he has worked as a leading editor, head of the author's program bureau, and chief producer at the independent television company "ANS". He was the author and host of the programs "Gulp" and "Mubariza" broadcast on the "ANS" television channel. Since 2013, he has been the founder and director of "Gulp studio" LLC, and the author of the program "Rezonans".

By the Order of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated April 29, 2021 Mubariz Asgarov was appointed a member of the National Television and Radio Council for a period of 6 years. In accordance with subparagraph 4.2 of the Decree No.1589 of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated February 08, 2022, he continues his activities in the Audiovisual Council of the Republic of Azerbaijan as an unexpired member of the National Television and Radio Council until the end of his term.

In 2015, he was awarded the title of "Honored Journalist". He is the author of the documentaries "The History of a Press Conference", "The Mountains of Shusha are Covered in Black Fog", "The Lesson of Khojaly", "Death Sentence - Life Sentence", "The Last Day of Kalbajar", "The Sign of Khojaly", "44 Days, 44 Moments", "Shusha", "Black Fate - White Death".
