The Audiovisual Council summed up the results of the competition for the issuance of the license of the nationwide terrestrial radio broadcaster

On April 05, 2024 a meeting of the Audiovisual Council of the Republic of Azerbaijan was held and the winner of the competition for the issuance of the license of the nationwide terrestrial radio broadcaster was announced.

Firstly, the report and conclusion of the competition commission about the documents, technical-broadcasting capabilities, human resources and financial-economic potential of the applicants were heard. Then the members of the Audiovisual Council shared their opinions on the applicants.

At the end of the meeting, among the 2 applicants who submitted documents for participation in the competition, "Saglam Media" LLC (radio channel name: "Saglam Radio"), which has a higher technical, personnel and economic potential, was declared the winner, and a final decision was made on the competition.

According to the adopted decision, radio frequencies of 93.0 MHz from "Baku TV Tower Complex" in Baku city, 105.7 MHz from RTTS "Poylu" in Aghstafa district, 104.7 MHz from RTTS "Dagli" in Guba district and 104.5 MHz from RTTS "Shirvan" in Shirvan city were allocated to "Saglam Media" LLC for broadcasting of "Saglam Radio" channel.
