An extraordinary meeting of the Audiovisual Council of the Republic of Azerbaijan was held.

The meeting discussed the successful local anti-terrorist measures carried out by the Republic of Azerbaijan in the territory of the Karabakh economic region, the situation in the region after these measures, the creation of information support for the population living in this region and ensuring the reintegration of the region into the national information space, as well as the appeals to the Audiovisual Council of the Republic of Azerbaijan "Baku TV" LLC and "Azerbaijan Television and Radio Broadcasting" CJSC for the obtaining of licenses.

Considering the urgency of creation of objective and operational information support for the population living in the territory of the Karabakh economic region the Audiovisual Council of the Republic of Azerbaijan took appropriate decisions to grant to "Baku TV" LLC (the name of the television channel: "Baku TV") the license of a platform broadcaster performing satellite transmission and to grant to "Azerbaijan Television and Radio Broadcasting" CJSC the license of a nationwide terrestrial radio broadcaster (the name of the radio channel: "Azerbaijan International Radio").
