Acceptance of documents for the competition announced for 33rd and 36th TV transmission channels from the Baku TV Tower Complex for the use of multiplex operators has been completed

On August 3, 2023, the acceptance of documents for the competition announced by the Audiovisual Council of the Republic of Azerbaijan guided by the Articles 34.1, 50.5 and 51.1 of the Law of the Republic of Azerbaijan "On Media" for 33^rd and 36^th TV transmission channels from the Baku TV Tower Complex for the use of multiplex operators providing paid digital terrestrial television retransmission services has been completed. The following 2 applicants submitted documents to the Council:

1. "ATV Plus" LLC  (operator’s service name: "ATV Plus")
2. "AzeriGlobalServis" CJSC (operator’s service name: "AGS TV")

It should be noted that both applicants are currently operating as multiplex operators. "ATV Plus" provides paid services of retransmission of foreign television channels to consumers in Baku and surroundings, while the "AGS TV" provides same services in the cities of Guba, Lankaran and Ganja.

In accordance with Article 52.4 of the Law of the Republic of Azerbaijan "On Media", documents submitted to the Council will be reviewed within the next 10 working days and a decision to accept or to refuse admission of applicants to the competition will be adopted.
