ISA MAMMADOV
Isa Mammadov was born on October 15, 1953 in the village of Veravul, Lankaran district. In 1970, after graduating from the Veravul rural secondary school, he entered the first year of the Electrical Engineering Department of the Azerbaijan Polytechnic Institute. In 1975, he graduated from the institute as an engineer in the specialty "Radio Communication and broadcasting".
He started his career in 1976 at the Republican Radio-television transmitter Center of the Ministry of Communications of the Azerbaijan SSR. First he worked as a major electrician and since 1977 he worked as an engineer.
At the initiative of the National Leader of the Azerbaijani people, Heydar Aliyev, Isa Mammadov was sent to the target full-time postgraduate course at the Moscow Electro- technical Institute of Communications. So, on December 1, 1978 he entered full-time postgraduate course and on November 30, 1982, upon completion of his postgraduate studies, he received the degree of candidate of technical sciences.
In 2002, he defended his doctoral dissertation at the Odessa National Academy of Communications. By the decision of the Supreme Attestation Commission under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated March 19, 2010, he was granted the academic rank of professor.
Since 1983 he has been working as an assistant, senior lecturer, associate professor and professor at the Azerbaijan Polytechnic Institute named after Chingiz Ildirim (now Azerbaijan Technical University).
In 1996-2005, he periodically worked as the head of the department and Dean of the Azerbaijan Technical University, at the same time, in 1997-2003 he headed the Department of Ship’s Radio Equipment of the Azerbaijan State Marine Academy.
Since 2004, Isa Mammadov worked at the Office of the National Television and Radio Council of the Republic of Azerbaijan as the head of the technical department.
Since 2008, he was the deputy head of the department of financial and technical control and in 2021 he became the head of the department of financial and technical control.
From April 25, 2022, he worked as a head of the Department of Technical control on audiovisual broadcasting, Information technology and Communication of the Office of the Audiovisual Council of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
By the Order of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated April 14, 2023, Isa Mammadov was appointed a member of the Audiovisual Council of the Republic of Azerbaijan (term of office 5 years).
Isa Mammadov held and continues to hold various public and academic positions(from 1985 to 1990 he was executive secretary of the collection of scientific papers published at the Technical University of Azerbaijan in the field of Radio Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Communications, Member of the Technical Council of the Ministry of Communications of the Republic of Azerbaijan, from 1997 to 2013 he was Deputy Chair of the Scientific and Methodological Council of the Department of Electronics and Communications of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Member of the Academic Council of the Azerbaijan State Marine Academy, member of the Academic Council of the Azerbaijan Technical University, member of the Specialized Doctoral Council at the Azerbaijan Technical University and the Chair of its scientific seminar, Deputy Chair of the specialized Doctoral Scientific Council, Scientific Secretary of the Expert Council of the Supreme Attestation Commission under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan).
In 2016, by Order of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, he was awarded the honorary title of "Honored Engineer". Isa Mammadov is the author of a number of books, a large number of monographs and articles.
