A regular meeting of the Audiovisual Council was held, 2 licenses have been issued.

On March 19, 2024 a regular meeting of the Audiovisual Council of the Republic of Azerbaijan was held, during which a number of issues were discussed.

Firstly, the Audiovisual Council adopted decision on admission of the applicants – "Saglam Media" LLC and "Orion Sky" LLC to the competition for granting license of nationwide terrestrial radio broadcaster which was announced according the Decision No. 01/24-01 by 23 January 2024 and on establishing the relevant commission to evaluate and asses broadcasting capabilities and compliance with the terms of the competition.

Then new applications submitted to the Audiovisual Council for obtaining licenses to perform audiovisual media activities were considered.

According to the relevant decisions, "AZ-EURO TEL" LLC (service name: "Azeurotel") has been granted a license of a simple platform operator, while "SPORT TV.AZ" LLC (television channel's name: "Sport TV", broadcasting genre: sports) has been granted a license of platform broadcaster not performing satellite transmission.
