The Audiovisual Council has revealed genre statistics of programs broadcast by free-to-air nationwide terrestrial television channels in 2024

Content-genre statistics of the programs broadcast by nationwide terrestrial television channels during 2024 were prepared by the Department of Monitoring and Analysis of Audiovisual Programs of the Audiovisual Council of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

According to the statistics, the genre distribution of the programs broadcasted during the last year on free-to-air nationwide terrestrial television channels was as follows:

• 23,4 % - information and analytical programs
• 16,0 % - sport programs
• 14,1 % - advertising content (commercial spots)
• 13,5 % - music and entertainment
• 12,8 % - films and series
•   8,7 % - cultural-educational programs
•   3,3 % - announcements
•   3,1 % - documentaries
•   2,8 % - social programs and talk-shows
•   1,2 % - childrens programs and animation films
•   1,1 % - social spots
