A meeting with the representatives of television broadcasters was held at the Audiovisual Council

On February 25, 2025 a meeting was held at the Audiovisual Council of the Republic of Azerbaijan with the responsible representatives of nationwide terrestrial and satellite television channels. At the meeting, the tasks assigned to television and radio broadcasters were clarified and the issues of their implementation were discussed in accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Azerbaijan, as well as targeted state programs, strategies and action plans aimed at key spheres of public life.

In accordance with "The Action Plan for the implementation of the Children's Strategy for 2020-2025" necessary recommendations were provided for the production and broadcasting of programs aimed at combating programs that negatively impact on the intellectual, moral and physical development of children. Issues related to compliance with the requirements of the Law "On Restriction of use of tobacco products" combating illicit trafficking in narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances and their precursors, as well as combating drug addiction were also discussed. Additionally, recommendations were made for the production of programs that highlight the importance of family and marriage, the negative consequences of early and consanguineous marriages, measures to prevent girls from dropping out of school, issues related to reproductive health among young people, as well as issues concerning gender equality and combating gender-based violence. Furthermore, issues related to the reports submitted by broadcasters to the Audiovisual Council were reviewed.

The meeting was attended by authorized representatives of nationwide terrestrial and satellite television channels, as well as representatives of the legal department and communication unit of the Audiovisual Council.
