A meeting with the delegation of the REM - the regulatory authority for audiovisual and electronic media of Serbia was held in the Audiovisual Council

Within framework of the visit to Azerbaijan of the delegation of the REM, the regulatory authority for audiovisual and electronic media of the Republic of Serbia, on March 05, 2024 a meeting was held in the Audiovisual Council of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

The Serbian delegation consists of the President of the REM, Mrs. Olivera Zekić, the head of General Affairs and İT of the REM, Mr. Vladimir Tomić, the head of the Monitoring and Analysis Department of the REM, Mr. Stevic Smederevac, the Coordinator of the REM for International Affairs Mrs. Jelena Kolo Jovanović.

After welcoming the Serbian guests, Chairman of the Audiovisual Council Ismat Sattarov presented them with general information on the media reforms being carried out in Azerbaijan in recent years, the adoption of the Law "On Media", innovations in the field of audiovisual media. Then the guests were shown the presentation "Regulation of audiovisual media in Azerbaijan".

The President of the REM, Mrs. Olivera Zekić, expressed appreciation for the sincere reception and hospitality, stressing the need for cooperation between the regulatory authorities of the two countries, the importance of mutual visits, the exchange of knowledge and experience.

At the meeting, an exchange of views took place on the possibility of signing a memorandum of cooperation between the Audiovisual Council and the REM and its role in the development of interaction.
