The meeting of the Audiovisual Council of the Republic of Azerbaijan was held.
On June 08, 2022 a meeting of the Audiovisual Council of the Republic of Azerbaijan was held. During the meeting two issues were considered.
The first issue on the agenda was the expansion of terrestrial television broadcasting in Eastern Zangezur and Karabakh. In connection with the restoration of the "Shakhyeri" radio and television broadcasting station located in the Khojavend region, the allocation of television channels for broadcasting a free-to-air television broadcast package from this station and other RTBS located in this region was discussed. In this regard, taking into account the letter received from the Production Union "Radio and Television Broadcasting and Satellite Communication" of the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport, and the conclusion of the Department of the technical control of audiovisual broadcasting, information technology and communication of the Audiovisual Council, new channels for TV broadcasting were allocated for a free-to-air television broadcasting package from radio and television broadcasting stations "Shakhyeri" located in Khojavend district, "Minjivan" located in Zangilan district, "Khanlyg" and "Balasoltanly" located in Gubadli district and "Kelbajar" located in Kalbajar district.
The Council also discussed the allocation of radio frequencies in the regions for the nation-wide radio channel "REAL FM" of "Real Analytical Information Center "LLC. As a result of the analysis and monitoring carried out jointly by the Department of the technical control of audiovisual broadcasting, information technology and communication of the Audiovisual Council, the State Administration of Radio Frequencies and the Production Union "Radio and Television Broadcasting and Satellite Communications" of the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport, the radio frequencies necessary for the implementation of nationwide radio broadcasting of "REAL FM" were determined. According to the relevant decision of the Council appropriate radio frequencies were allocated to "Real Analytical Information Center" LLC, for broadcasting from radio and television broadcasting stations located in 8 regions of the country.
