The 3rd Forum, which focused on the topic of “Public Processes in the Media Sphere” was held

On 1 May 2026 the Media Development Agency held the 3rd Forum on the topic of “Public Processes in the Media Sphere”.

 

The 3rd Forum aimed to inform media entities within the framework of the “Year of Urban Planning and Architecture”, analyze the impact of processes in the digital development era on the media sphere, and support its development.

 

In his opening speech, Ahmad Ismayilov, the Executive Director of the Media Development Agency, emphasized that state - media cooperation is a key priority in the modern era for ensuring accurate and professional coverage of public processes. He also noted that, while serving as an effective platform for dialogue, the Forum makes a significant contribution to strengthening coordination between media entities and government authorities, as well as providing society with comprehensive and reliable information.

 

Afterwards, Samaddin Asadov, Deputy Minister of Digital Development and Transport, Firudin Gurbanov, Deputy Minister of Science and Education, and Read Gasimov, Head of the Baku City Architecture and Urban Planning Department under the State Urban Planning and Architecture Committee, also delivered speeches at the Forum. They discussed the importance of the Forum, the necessity of ensuring media literacy and the shortcomings in this process, as well as the key areas for future development.

 

The Forum continued its work with panel sessions. One such session, titled "Media Agenda in the "Year of Urban Planning and Architecture"", was moderated by Laman Isgandarova, Director of the Department for Media Support Projects, Strategic Planning and Information Technologies at the Media Development Agency. This session featured speakers who were authorized representatives of the Baku City Executive Authority, the State Service for Protection, Development and Restoration of Cultural Heritage under the Ministry of Culture of Azerbaijan, and the WUF13 Azerbaijan Operating Company. The speakers addressed several important topics and answered questions of interest to media representatives.

 

The next panel session titled “Unexpected Risks in the Digital Environment: Joint Fight Against Harmful Information”, was moderated by Vafa Isgandarova, Head of the Nakhchivan Regional Office of the Media Development Agency. The panel included authorized representatives from the Ministry of Science and Education, the State Committee for Family, Women and Children's Affairs, and the Electronic Security Service under the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport.

 

Finally, the panel session titled “Digital Development: Media, Artificial Intelligence and Innovation” was held, moderated by Fazil Novruzov, Head of the Office of the Audiovisual Council. Authorized representatives of the State Service for Special Communication and Information Security, the Media Development Agency, the Innovation and Digital Development Agency under the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport, as well as the Center for Analysis and Coordination of the 4th Industrial Revolution under the Ministry of Economy, provided detailed responses to the questions.

 

All three panel sessions were interactive and concluded with responses to questions of interest to the media.
