The 4th Shusha Global Media Forum was held under the theme “The Mission of Media in Promoting Peace: Restoring Truth and Rebuilding Trust”

Nearly 160 media representatives from 53 countries attended the Forum, representing around 30 news agencies, more than 60 leading media organizations, nearly 10 international organizations and companies, as well as other relevant sectoral institutions. 

The Forum featured wide-ranging discussions on the media’s contribution to peacebuilding, its role in shaping public discourse, the impact of disinformation on peace initiatives, narratives surrounding urban development in the post-conflict period, the role of media diplomacy and media literacy in restoration of public trust, social media and ethical challenges in the era of artificial intelligence, as well as ways to strengthen cross-border media dialogue and solidarity in the digital environment.

In addition, the Forum featured the Executive Board Meeting of the Alliance of Turkic News Agencies (ATNA), jointly held with “Azertac”, as well as a series of parallel events focusing on the use of artificial intelligence and new formats in the radio industry, the creation of a secure information environment on digital platforms, visual storytelling, and next-generation media practices. The discussions focused on expanding international cooperation in the media sector, the opportunities and challenges presented by digital transformation, the impact of artificial intelligence technologies on media activities, and ways to strengthen information security. Interactive discussions involving digital content creators focused on the future development of new communication tools, effective audience engagement mechanisms, and emerging trends in content creation across digital platforms. 

The Forum also featured an exhibition highlighting Azerbaijan’s rich cultural heritage, historical and architectural landmarks, and national cultural values.

The Shusha Global Media Forum has become a prestigious international platform for discussing changes taking place in the global information environment, new challenges emerging in the media sector, and opportunities for cooperation. By bringing together media professionals, experts, representatives of international organizations, digital platforms, and other stakeholders from different countries, the Forum makes a significant contribution to promoting the exchange of experience, expanding professional dialogue, and strengthening international cooperation. At the same time, the Forum provides a constructive platform for discussing current trends in media, technology and communications, exchanging innovative approaches, and developing common solutions.
