A workshop was held for employees of the State Service for Antimonopoly and Consumer Market Control and the Audiovisual Council of the Republic of Azerbaijan
On February 24, 2023 in the State Service for Antimonopoly and Consumer Market Control under the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Azerbaijan, a workshop was organized for specialists from both structures in accordance with the Joint Action Plan signed between the Audiovisual Council of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the State Service.
During the workshop, presentations were made by specialists of both state authorities on subjects such as audiovisual media entities, features of advertising and sponsorship in audiovisual media, requirements of the law "On Media", which entered into force in 2022, amendments and additions to the law "On Advertising" proposed by the Council, requirements of legislation on unfair, inaccurate and hidden advertising, the State Service’s supervision of the advertising activities.
According to the Joint Action Plan signed on November 4, 2022, during the year both state authorities will carry out joint monitoring, mutual awareness measures, joint investigation of applications for violations of legislation on competition and advertising in order to ensure compliance with the legislation in the field of advertising in audiovisual media.
