At the meeting of the Council, the issue of expanding the broadcasting territory of nationwide terrestrial radio channels in Eastern Zangezur and Karabakh regions was discussed.
On July 20, 2022 the 10th meeting of the Audiovisual Council of the Republic of Azerbaijan was held.
The first issue on the agenda of the meeting was the issue of expanding the broadcasting territory of the nationwide terrestrial radio channels "Radio Azerbaijan", "Public Radio" and "Radio Azad Azerbaijan". On the basis of the appeals received by the Council from the CJSC "Azerbaijani Television and Radio Programs", the "Public Television and Radio Broadcasting Company", the Independent Television and Radio Company "Azad Azerbaijan", allocation of radio frequencies in FM band from various radio stations (RTBS) located in these regions to broadcasters was discussed. After discussions, the Council took a decision to allocate 100.5 MHz radio frequency for broadcasting from the automatic RTBS "Minjivan" located on the territory of Zangilan district, 103.5 MHz radio frequency for broadcasting from the automatic RTBS "Khanlyg" located on the territory of Gubadli district, 105.0 MHz radio frequency for broadcasting from the RTBS "Kalbajar" located on the territory of Kalbajar district in use of the CJSC "Azerbaijani Television and Radio Programs", 99.5 MHz radio frequency for broadcasting from the automatic RTBS "Minjivan" located in the territory of Zangilan district, 101.5 MHz radio frequency for broadcasting from the automatic RTBS "Khanlig", located on the territory of Gubadli district for the use of the "Public Television and Radio Broadcasting Company", as well as 92.1 MHz radio frequency for broadcasting from the RTBS "Shakhyeri", located on the territory of Khojavend district, for the use of the İndependent Television and Radio Company "Azad Azerbaijan".
Further, the issue of transferring the radio transmitter "Radio Araz", broadcasting on 103.3 MHz radio frequency from the "Akhmedbeyli" RTBS, located in Fizuli district, to the "Shakhyeri" RTBS, located in Khojavend district, was discussed. By the decision of the Council, 103.3 MHz radio frequency allocated for use of the LLC "Araz Teleradio" for broadcasting from the RTBS "Akhmedbeyli" located in the territory of Fizuli district was replaced by 103.3 MHz radio frequency for broadcasting from the RTBS "Shakhyeri" located in Khojavend district.
