The Audiovisual Council of the Republic of Azerbaijan has adopted a decision to suspend the broadcasting of “ARB” television channel for 3 hours.

The meeting of the Audiovisual Council of the Republic of Azerbaijan was held on May 05, 2022. At the meeting, the results of monitoring of the programs of nationwide terrestrial television broadcasters in the period from April 25, 2022 to May 05, 2022 were discussed.

On May 3, 2022 the requirements of the Article 14.1.15 of the Law of the Republic of Azerbaijan "On Media" was violated by broadcasting of information promoting violence and cruelty during the program "Follow Elgiz" ("Elgizlə izlə") of the "ARB" television broadcaster from 13.35 – 15.30. Therefore, guided by the articles 41.1.1 and 41.5 of the Law of the Republic of Azerbaijan "On Media", the Audiovisual Council of the Republic of Azerbaijan has adopted the decision to suspend the broadcasting of programs of "ARB" television broadcaster on May 08, 2022 from 09.00 a.m. to 12.00 p.m. for a period of 3 (three) hours.
