The 6th meeting of EPRA’s "Media and Information Literacy" (EMIL) taskforce was held in online format.
On February 16, 2022 the 6th meeting of "Media and Information Literacy" (EMIL) taskforce of European Platform of Regulatory Authorities (EPRA) was held in online format. Deputy head of Legal and international relations department of the Office of Audiovisual Council of the Republic of Azerbaijan Jamila Gahramanova also participated in the meeting.
Several presentations were made about the innovations in the network during the meeting. Firstly, the chairman of the Working Group, Maria Donde informed in detail about the innovations related to the group's activities. Later the information on the meeting of Media Literacy Expert Group (MLEG) held on February 10, 2022 was presented.
After this, the issues related to media literacy projects were also discussed. "Free Financial Times schools" programme was presented by editorial lead Andrew Jack. OFCOM informed members of EMIL on its intervention / evaluation work. Members were informed about EDMO training sessions on evaluating MIL initiatives on 24-25 March, 2022. Also, the information on the financing opportunities of the MIL was presented.
At the end of the meeting, brief discussions were held on EMIL’s Terms of Reference, as well as the profiles of EMIL members.
