The next discussion was held within the framework of public hearings of the draft law "On Media"

On December 22, 2021 the next discussion of the draft law "On Media" was held at the Media Development Agency with the participation of First Deputy Speaker of the Milli Majlis of the Republic of Azerbaijan (Parlament of the Republic of Azerbaijan), Chairman of the Committee on Legal Policy and State Building Ali Huseynli and Chairman of the Human Rights Committee Zahid Oruj.

MP Gudrat Hasanguliyev, chairman of the Azerbaijan Journalists' Union Elchin Shikhli, director general of the "Turan" News Agency Mehman Aliyev, chairman of the "Yeni Nesil" Journalists' Union Arif Aliyev, founder of the "APA" News Agency Vusala Mahirgizi, media rights expert Alasgar Mammadli, as well as representatives of a number of media entities, took part in the discussion.

Ahmad Ismayilov, Executive Director of the Media Development Agency, and Ismat Sattarov, Chairman of the National Television and Radio Council, answered the questions in detail and expressed their views on the proposals.

Discussions on the draft law "On Media" will continue.
