National Television and Radio Council and "ARB Janub" regional television channel have held a roundtable

In accordance with the "State program on combating illicit trafficking in narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances and their precursors for 2019-2024", representatives of National Television and Radio Council have held meetings on December 13-14, 2021 at the regional television channel "ARB Janub", which operates in the southern region. Within the framework of the meetings, a roundtable was organized with the representatives of the program and news departments of the channel.

The issues of explaining to the public the provisions and requirements of the legislation on combating illegal circulation of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances and their precursors in accordance with the state program and the role of regional media, including television channels in organizing of propaganda work among citizens for public education, as well as financial and technical problems in this area were discussed.

During the discussions, the Council representatives explained to broadcasters their duties and measures to be taken in the field of organization of special programs on fight against drug addiction, broadcasting of social videos and submission of reports to the Council on these broadcasts. At the end of the meeting, the representatives of the Council answered the questions of the channel’s staff about the organization of broadcasting and the requirements for the program.
