Social Media Training Programme is being held in Istanbul for the relevant bodies of Turkic Council member and observer states.
The "Social Media Training Programme" organized by the Communications Department under the President of the Republic of Turkey and the Secretariat of Turkic Council has started its work in Istanbul today.
The main purpose of the training program is aimed at increasing the level of knowledge on the use of social media, relations with social media platforms, legal regulation of social media, combating disinformation and crisis management in related fields. In addition, the program envisages the establishment of effective cooperation and communication networks amongst the institutions of member states operating in the same field.
During the event, discussions on such topics as disinformation as a security threat of states; internet and social media law; spread of disinformation and tools for combatting disinformation; social media use and combatting disinformation in the Karabagh Victory; educating the society on social media use and combatting disinformation will be held.
Nemat Javadov, Head of the of Legal and International Relations Department of National Television and Radio Council is taking part in the event on behalf of the NTRC. The event will last for two days.
