National Television and Radio Council held the Meeting

At the meeting, amendments to the Law of the Republic of Azerbaijan "On television and radio broadcasting" were discussed in connection with the adoption of the Law of the Republic of Azerbaijan "On the protection of children from harmful information". According to the latest amendments to the Article 33 of the Law of the Republic of Azerbaijan "On television and radio broadcasting" the "Special Provisions for the program that transmitted via unencrypted means and that might be harmful to physical, mental and moral development of minors, as well as for the programs describing erotic and violence" adopted by the Council on 10 April 2015 have lost their legal force, therefore the Council decided to repeal the Provisions.

According to another decision of the Council the license for cable network broadcasting granted to "TV Tech-service" LLC on 18 March 2016 is revoked and all broadcasting frequencies allocated to "TV Tech-service" LLC are reallocated to "ATV Plus" LLC due to the fact that "TV Tech-service" LLC has been merged into the "ATV Plus" LLC.
