The video-meeting of National Television and Radio Council was held
At the meeting, the current situation in restoration of television and radio broadcasting infrastructure in the liberated territories and issues related to the organization of television and radio broadcasting in those territories were discussed.
Information on the current state of work on restoration of the infrastructure of television and radio broadcasting in the liberated territories, provided to the Technical Control Department of National Television and Radio Council (NTRC) by experts of the "Radio-Television Broadcasting and Satellite Communications" Production Unit was heard.
After discussions, it was decided to organize broadcasting of free-to-air package of nation-wide television channels and 3 nation-wide radio channels (Azerbaijan Radio, Public Radio and ASAN Radio) in Nagorno-Karabakh and the surrounding territories through radio-television broadcasting stations (RTBS) located in the Shusha City and in the Hadrut settlement of Khojavend district. It was noted at the meeting that after determination of new broadcasting frequencies in the liberated territories, the broadcasting of other nation-wide radio channels will be launched.
The appeal of "Caspian International Broadcasting Company" LLC to NTRC for obtaining regional television broadcasting license was also discussed at the meeting. Taking into account the utmost importance and urgency of organization of the broadcasting in the liberated territories of television channel that transmits Azerbaijani realities to the world in various languages, the Council decided to grant the "Caspian International Broadcasting Company" LLC (CBC TV) a termless license for regional television broadcasting in order to carry out terrestrial broadcasting in Nagorno-Karabakh and surrounding territories.
