The video-meeting of National Television and Radio Council was held.

At the meeting, the results of the monitoring of nationwide television channels on August 1-10, 2020 were discussed.

The requirements of the Article 35.7 of the Law of the Republic of Azerbaijan “On Television and Radio Broadcasting” were violated by broadcasting 16 minutes and 50 seconds of advertisements on “Xazar” TV channel within the period between 06.00 pm to 07.00 pm. on August 5, 2020. Guided by the Article 23.1 of the Law, the Council has adopted a decision to suspend the broadcasting of “Xazar” TV channel on August 24, 2020 for a period of 3 hours (from 08:00 am to 11:00 am).

Also the requirements of the Article 35.7 of the Law of the Republic of Azerbaijan “On Television and Radio Broadcasting” were violated by broadcasting 16 minutes and 20 seconds of advertisements on «ARB» TV channel within the period between 09.00 am to 10.00 am. on August 8, 2020. Guided by the Article 23.1 of the Law, the Council has adopted a decision to suspend the broadcasting of «ARB» TV channel on August 17, 2020 for a period of 3 hours (from 08:00 am to 11:00 am).
