Notifications have been issued to "Lider TV" and "Ictimai TV".

National Television and Radio Council held its meeting on 21 may 2015. At the meeting the facts of infringements by "Lider TV and Radio Azerbaijan" LLC and "Public Television and Radio Broadcasting Company" of requirements of the Law of the Republic of Azerbaijan "On Television and Radio Broadcasting" and the issues of regulation of cable television were discussed.

"Lider TV and Radio Azerbaijan" LLC was issued a notification due to the lack of implementation of requirements of the Article 6.5.3 of State Program "On usage of Azerbaijani language in accordance with new requirements in condition of globalization and development of state language in the country" which had been approved by the Order of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan on 9 April 2013, as well as for non fulfilling of recommendations of National Television and Radio Council (NTRC) on this issue and also due to infringements of Articles 35.2, 35.4 and 35.7 of the Law of the Republic of Azerbaijan "On Television and Radio Broadcasting".

At the same time "Public Television and Radio Broadcasting Company" was issued a notification due to infringements of Articles 35.2, 35.7 and 35.8 of the Law of the Republic of Azerbaijan "On Television and Radio Broadcasting" and Article 15.3 of the Law of the Republic of Azerbaijan "On Public Television and Radio Broadcasting".

At the Meeting the current situation in the field of cable television broadcasting also was discussed and the necessity of improvement of legislation in this sphere was stressed. In accordance with the Article 30.2 of the Law of the Republic of Azerbaijan "On Television and Radio broadcasting" and the Article 9.1 of the "Regulations on National Television and Radio Council" some decisions in the sphere of regulation of cable television broadcasting were adopted.
