The Council issued licences for "Asan Radio" and "CBC Sport TV".
The regular meeting of the National Television and Radio Council was held 8 September 2015. At the meeting the applications of State Agency for Public Service and Social İnnovations under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan for nationwide radio broadcasting license and "CBC Sport" LLC for nation-wide sport television channel broadcasting license were considered.
According to the requirements of the articles 7 and 15.1 of the Law of the Republic of Azerbaijan "On Television and Radio Broadcasting" National Television and Radio Council of the Republic of Azerbaijan passed decision to grant license out-of-competition to the State Agency for Public Service and Social Innovations under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan as state broadcaster for nationwide radio broadcasting at 100 MHz frequency in Baku city and Absheron Peninsula and license to "CBC Sport" for nationwide television sport channel broadcasting at 37th channel for 6 years.
At the same time, the issue on effective usage of broadcasting frequencies was discussed. Decision on state broadcasting and private broadcasting to be replaced to 37th and 48th was passed.
