The regular meeting of National Television and Radio Council was held on November 14, 2017. At the meeting discussions on creating of news television channel were carried out and then the contest on opening of specialized news television channel during 16 November 2017 – 16 December 2017 was announced.

At the meeting the applications of "Global" LLC (Dalga TV) for satellite broadcasting license were also considered and decision on granting of termless satellite broadcasting license to "Global" LLC (Dalga TV) was adopted.
