The last meeting of the Audiovisual Council for the current year has been held

On December 29, 2024 the last meeting of the Audiovisual Council of the Republic of Azerbaijan for the current year has been held.

During the meeting general views were exchanged on the activity carried out in the field of audiovisual media and its regulation, the work done by the Audiovisual Council in this direction - the issuance of new licenses, the monitoring of audiovisual programs as well as retransmission packages of operators, applied administrative sanctions, the finalization of the implementation of the Presidential Order on the expansion of FM radio broadcasting, the international cooperation of the Audiovisual Council and other issues.

The members of the Council highly appreciated the Order of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated 28 December 2024 on the provision of one-time financial support to private national television channels, stressing that this is another step of state support in order to strengthen the activities of television channels in the direction of timely ensuring the society with information, as well as improving the quality of broadcasting.

In accordance with the decision of the Audiovisual Council, the allocated 2.5 million manats were divided equally among 5 private nationwide general-list and news television channels.
