Chair of the Audiovisual Council of the Republic of Azerbaijan held a meeting with students of the Journalism Faculty of BSU

On 31 October 2023, the Chair of the Audiovisual Council held the meeting with students of the Journalism Faculty of BSU in accordance with the Memorandum of Understanding signed between the Audiovisual Council of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Media Development Agency and Baku State University (BSU).

Vugar Zifaroglu, dean of the Faculty, who opened the meeting on "Television: a view from the perspective of history and the audience", spoke about the importance of such meetings, the need for close communication between young journalism students and the regulatory authority in the field of audiovisual media, and also informed about the organization of such meetings in the future.

Then the Chair of the Council, Ismat Sattarov, spoke on this topic. In his speech, the Chair touched on interesting details related to television broadcasting, spoke in detail about the creation of television, the broadcasting of the first advertisement, the TV audience measurement system and the role of this system in the development of television broadcasting.

At the end of the meeting the students' questions were answered and opinions on the topic were exchanged.
