The Audiovisual Council of the Republic of Azerbaijan revoked the licenses of some platform operators

The meeting of the Audiovisual Council of the Republic of Azerbaijan was held on 27 October 2023. The Council considered appeals by a number of platform operators providing retransmission of foreign television channels to have their licenses revoked for lack of activity.

The meeting heard a report from the Department of law and international cooperation of the Office of the Council regarding the issue and the monitoring of the activities of these operators. After discussions, taking into account the applications of the licensees, decisions were made to revoke the respective licenses of "Albakh TV" LLC, "Real Telecom" LLC and "Sham" LLC.

Also, the license of "RA Technologies" LLC was canceled due to the fact that the broadcasting activity was not carried out for more than 6 months.
