Nation-wide TV broadcasters have signed an Agreement of understanding for development of industry.

9 media structures representing 12 nation-wide television channels operating in the Republic of Azerbaijan have signed an Agreement of understanding for joint activities to develop the television industry.

The agreement, signed by the heads of nation-wide channels, was perceived by the National Television and Radio Council (NTRC) as a sign of the beginning of serious reforms in the television sphere of the country. During the next two weeks, the NTRC will hold additional consultations with available cable TV operators, IPTV service providers, radio channels, advertising agencies, creators of the video content for television channels, state structures and members of the Milli Majlis and will start working on creation of a concept for the development of the audiovisual industry of Azerbaijan.
