The Audiovisual Council of the Republic of Azerbaijan held a press conference dedicated to the results of 2022

On December 26, 2022, the Audiovisual Council of the Republic of Azerbaijan held a press conference dedicated to the results of 2022.

During the press conference, the Chairman of the Council, Ismat Sattarov, spoke about the activities of the Council for 2022.

He  talked about the entry into force of the Law "On Media" and related innovations in legislation, regulation, monitoring of programs, technical control of broadcasting, the transition to broadcasting in HD format, the advertising market, a new TV ratings measurement system, proposals to amend the Law "On Advertising", a new public association in the audiovisual market media, audiovisual industry research, the fight against piracy,  new radio broadcasters and the expansion of the coverage area of radio broadcasting in general, the granting of licenses to broadcasters of platforms, that is a new type of audiovisual activity, as well as about the forum of member countries of the OTS – "TBRAF".

Then the Chairman of the Council, the Head of the Office of the Council and the heads of departments answered the questions of the media representatives, told about the main activities planned for the next year.
