A roundtable was held at the Audiovisual Council of the Republic of Azerbaijan with the heads of regional audiovisual channels

On December 20, 2022 a roundtable was held at the Audiovisual Council of the Republic of Azerbaijan with the heads of regional television and radio channels.

During the meeting issues related to the renewal of existing licenses in accordance with the law "On Media", problems faced by regional broadcasters related to content production, issues arising in connection with the implementation of a number of requirements of the Law "On Media", prevention of fake and false news in audiovisual programs, including malicious and defamatory materials, as well as issues related to the implementation of state programs in various directions, the current situation in regional media advertising market and other issues were discussed.

At the meeting, which was held in the format of the discussion, it was also talked about the activities carried out in 2022 and the results of the year. An agreement was reached to regularly organize such meetings with regional broadcasters next year, to discuss at these meetings interim results related to the implementation of state programs and national action plans, as well as to ensure continuous communication in order to eliminate difficulties arising in the field of compliance with the requirements of the legislation by broadcasters.
