A workshop on advertising activities in the field of audiovisual media has been held

On November 4, 2022, the State Service for Antimonopoly and Consumer Market Control under the Ministry of Economy and the Audiovisual Council of the Republic of Azerbaijan jointly organized an awareness workshop on advertising activities in the field of audiovisual media.

Speaking at the event, head of the State Service Mammad Abbasbeyli informed the participants of the workshop about the activities of the institution he represents and emphasized that the organization of such workshops, as well as cooperation between the two organizations will contribute to the regulation of advertising activities on television and radio broadcasting.

The chair of the Audiovisual Council of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ismat Sattarov highly appreciated the organization of joint activities between the two institutions in the direction of regulation of advertising activities and spoke about the planned works in this field.

At the workshop, speeches were made on the features of advertising and sponsorship in television and radio broadcasting, the requirements of the legislation, proposed amendments and additions to the Law of the Republic of Azerbaijan "On Advertising", the requirements of the legislation on unfair, inaccurate and hidden advertising, directions of control in advertising activities of the State Service and other topics.

Within the workshop, a Joint Action Plan was signed between the State Service for Antimonopoly and Consumer Market Control and the Audiovisual Council of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
