The Conference dedicated to the topic “Deepening media reforms: Towards new goals” was held.

On July 21, 2022 the Media Development Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan organized a conference on "Deepening reforms in the field of media: towards new goals".

The conference was attended by official representatives of the Presidential Administration, Milli Majlis, Media Development Agency, Audiovisual Council, Press Council, representatives of audiovisual, online, print media structures and news agencies, experts and officials from more than 20 foreign countries invited to Baku to participate in the international media forum, as well as well-known journalists.

Opening the event, the Executive Director of the Media Development Agency, Ahmed Ismailov, welcomed the participants of the conference and told about a series of events dedicated to the National Press Day organized by the Media Development Agency.

Deputy Head of the Department for Work with Non-Governmental Organizations and Communications of the Presidential Administration Saadet Yusifova, Chairman of the Press Council Aflatun Amashov, Head of the Office of the Audiovisual Council of the Republic of Azerbaijan Fazil Novruzov, Director General of the "Trend" News Agency Ilgar Huseynov took part in panel discussions organized within the framework of the conference.

In the panel discussion moderated by the well-known journalist Elchin Mirzabeyli, opinions were expressed on the way of development of the Azerbaijani press and media reforms in the modern era, the legal framework of media reforms, the role of media in bringing realities of Azerbaijan to the world and the preliminary results of the reforms were announced.

Then there was the presentation of the updated version of the official website of the Media Development Agency.
