The Council issued the notification to "Lider TV and Radio Azerbaijan" LLC

The regular meeting of National Television and Radio Council was held on 25 December 2014. At the meeting the fact of infringement by "Lider TV and Radio Azerbaijan" LLC of the requirements of the Law of the Republic of Azerbaijan "On Television and Radio Broadcasting" was considered.

The Council issued the notification to "Lider TV and Radio Azerbaijan" LLC for the fact that on 21 December 2014 during the program "Sechim" ("Choice") which broadcasted at 19.00 on "Lider TV" the scene where the nurse is conducting physical violence on baby (at 19.25) demonstrated and thus it was breached the Article 33 of the Law "On Television and Radio Broadcasting" and the paragraph 2.1 of "Special Provisions of the Council for programs which are being transmitted without codes and might damage physical, mental and moral development of minors, also programs that contains erotic and violence", as well as for the infringements of Artcile 35.4 of the Law on 11, 17, 18, 22 and 24 December 2014, for infringements of Artcile 35.5 on 16 and 22 December 2014, for infringements of Article 35.7 on 11 December 2014 (not complying with rules and demands defined by law for broadcasting of advertisements).
