On the 150th anniversary of the Azerbaijani national press, the Alley of Honor, Hasan bey Zardabi’s grave, and the Victory Monument were visited
On July 22, on the occasion of the 150th anniversary of the Azerbaijani national press, representatives of the Audiovisual Council, Media Development Agency and Press Council, as well as a number of media leaders visited the Alley of Honors to pay tribute to National Leader Heydar Aliyev, and lay wreaths and flowers at his grave. The memory of the prominent ophthalmologist - scientist, academician Zarifa Aliyeva, was also commemorated with respect, and flowers were laid on her grave.
Then, the grave of Hasan bey Zardabi, the founder of the Azerbaijani national press, publisher and editor-in-chief of the "Akinchi" newspaper, prominent public figure and enlightened intellectual, was visited. As a sign of respect for his soul, wreaths and flowers were laid in front of his grave, and the dear memory of the great thinker was commemorated with a feeling of deep gratitude.
At the same time, wreaths and fresh flowers were laid in front of the Victory Monument and the dear memory of the martyrs who sacrificed their lives in the Patriotic War was commemorated with respect.
