The Azerbaijani delegation visited the editorial office of China’s "Jenmin Jibao" newspaper

Within the visit to the People's Republic of China, the Azerbaijani delegation visited the editorial office of the "Jenmin Jibao" ("People’s Daily") newspaper, one of the most respected media outlets of the country.

During a meeting with the newspaper’s leadership, Ahmad Ismayilov, Executive Director of Azerbaijan’s Media Development Agency, highlighted the extensive and consistent reforms being implemented in the country’s media sector under the leadership of President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev. He noted that the main goal of these reforms is to establish and strengthen a sustainable media environment that responds to modern challenges and plays an active role in the development of society. He noted that both online and traditional media outlets receive comprehensive state support in Azerbaijan, and significant projects are being implemented to promote the digital transformation of print media.

Yu Shaoliang, President of the "Jenmin Jibao" newspaper, provided detailed information about the history and activities of the media organization he leads. He noted that the newspaper reaches millions of followers not only through its print edition but also via various digital platforms. He expressed confidence that the comprehensive strategic partnership established between the two countries would also yield positive results in the media field. Yu Shaoliang spoke about the mutually beneficial cooperation between the "Jenmin Jibao" and "Azertac", and highly appreciated the support given to the newspaper's projects.

During the meeting, there was an exchange of views on the "Belt and Road" initiative, proposed by the People’s Republic of China in 2013, aimed at developing infrastructure and strengthening interconnectivity among Eurasian countries. The contribution of the project to international cooperation was highlighted.
