A meeting with the responsible persons of television broadcasters was held at the Audiovisual Council

On February 14, 2024, a meeting with the responsible persons of nationwide terrestrial and satellite television broadcasters was held at the Audiovisual Council of the Republic of Azerbaijan. At the meeting, the tasks assigned to television broadcasters according to the legislation of the Republic of Azerbaijan, targeted state programs, strategies and national action plans adopted in areas of significant importance in the life of the society and their implementation were brought to their attention.

The necessary recommendations were given to the broadcasters on the issues in audiovisual media, such as not broadcasting content that can impair the physical, mental or moral development of children, producing and broadcasting programs that contain and describe the measures against the illegal circulation of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances and their precursors and drug addiction, promote family and marriage issues among young people, explain the negative consequences of early marriage and marriage between relatives. Also, issues related to the reports submitted by the broadcasters to the Audiovisual Council were discussed.

The meeting was attended by program managers and authorized persons of nationwide terrestrial and satellite television channels, legal and communication staff of the Audiovisual Council.
