The Media Development Agency and the Audiovisual Council met with the representatives of influential media outlets of Morocco

On February 6, 2024 representatives of the Media Development Agency and the Audiovisual Council of the Republic of Azerbaijan met with the representatives of influential media outlets of Morocco at the administrative building of the Media Development Agency.

During the meeting, Ahmad Ismayilov, executive director of the Media Development Agency, provided detailed information on the media reforms implemented in our country, the main purposes of the Law "On Media", complex measures taken to strengthen the economic independence of media entities, efforts to increase professionalism and responsibility of journalists, as well as media literacy of the society based on the Decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan "On deepening reforms in the media sphere in the Republic of Azerbaijan" dated 12 January 2021. Ahmad Ismayilov emphasized the significance of arranging reciprocal visits to enhance bilateral cooperation and facilitate the exchange of information.

Ismat Sattarov, the Chair of the Audiovisual Council, presented an overview on audiovisual media entities operating in Azerbaijan, broadcasting of television advertisements and operating of television audience measurement system.

The Moroccan journalists expressed their gratitude for the organization of the meeting and emphasized the importance of building productive and mutually beneficial cooperation and the need to share successful experience in the media sphere. Then opinions were exchanged on other issues of mutual interest.
