The Chair of the Audiovisual Council met with Yegor Tilpunov, Media Analyst of the Election Observation Mission of OSCE / ODIHR

On January 18, 2024 the Chair of the Audiovisual Council of the Republic of Azerbaijan İsmat Sattarov met with Yegor Tilpunov, Media Analyst of the Election Observation Mission of OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights.

During the meeting, the Chair of the Audiovisual Council highlighted recent innovations in the regulation of audiovisual media following the adoption of the Law "On Media", including the licensing process for new media entities, the freedom of internet television and radio, and the licensing of these activities on an application-only basis. Following this, Ismat Sattarov shared details regarding pre-election promotion campaign on television and radio, the institutions in charge of overseeing this process, monitoring the promotion campaign on television and radio, and other related topics as requested by the guest.
