Department of Information Technologies and Technical Supervision on Broadcasting
Main functions of the Department are as follows:
- Ensuring technical compliance in terrestrial television and radio broadcasting;
- Managing, planning, allocation and monitoring of radiofrequency resources designated for audiovisual media activity;
- Carrying out monitoring and assessment work in order to ensure reliable and uninterrupted terrestrial television and radio transmission;
- Conducting on-site inspections to study the broadcasting capabilities and technical equipment of organizations that have applied for a license;
- Conducting regular monitoring of the activities of retransmission operators;
- Managing internet access and e-document circulation, ensuring equal internal access to online resources;
- Monitoring and ensuring compliance with minimum requirements for information security and cybersecurity in the Audiovisual Council
Installation of servers, networks, office equipment and systems in the Audiovisual Council and ensuring their normal operation; - Supervision of office and technical equipment in the Audiovisual Council and implementation of necessary measures;
- Establishing the technical basis for the monitoring activities carried out by the Audiovisual Council and regular supervision in this direction;
- Organizing and implementing the archiving of audiovisual materials monitored by the Audiovisual Council;
- Preparing reports and analytical materials, and contributing to strategic planning and legislative initiatives.
