An event was held on the correct usage of the Azerbaijani literary language
On September 17, 2025 an educational event was held jointly organized by the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Audiovisual Council of the Republic of Azerbaijan to promote the correct usage of the Azerbaijani literary language and strengthen language culture in public administration. The event, held at the Academy of Justice, discussed the issues related to protecting the Azerbaijani language, further expanding its use in the era of globalization, correct usage of the literary language norms in public communication, and shaping a professional style.
Rafig Hashimov, Deputy Chair of "Azerbaijan Television and Radio Broadcasting" CJSC, Honored Artist of Azerbaijan, TV journalist, and director, in his speech emphasized the importance of using the Azerbaijani literary language correctly in public administration. He stated that fluent and understandable professional communication is of great significance in terms of both communication with citizens and shaping public opinion. Educational events and trainings held in this direction serve to improve the language skills of employees, prevent stylistic violations, and protect the norms of the Azerbaijani literary language.
Elchin Khalafov, Vice-Rector of the Academy of Justice, Taleh Guliyev, Head of the Communication Sector of the Audiovisual Council, and Laman Huseynzade, Head of the Ministry's Press Service, also noted the importance of strictly adhering to the norms of the Azerbaijani literary language.
During the interactive discussions, participants' questions were answered, and they were informed about the correct usage of literary language norms as well as the protection of speech culture. Representatives of the Ministry of Economy and the Ministry of Science and Education also participated in the event.
