Within the visit to China, the Memorandum on Cooperation in the field of radio and television broadcasting was signed

On June 24, 2025 within the visit to the People's Republic of China, a meeting was held between the Azerbaijani delegation and Minister of the State Administration of Radio Broadcasting and Television of the People's Republic of China, Ms. Chao Shumin and other officials of the authority.

During the meeting, the Chair of the Audiovisual Council Ismat Sattarov stressed the importance of strengthening cooperation between Azerbaijan and China in the field of audiovisual media, as well as in other areas. The Chair of the Council expressed his confidence that Azerbaijan and China are conducting an active dialogue on the concept and policy of audiovisual media regulation, said that the implementation of technological exchange between the audiovisual media of both countries, the application of advanced technologies such as big data, artificial intelligence and "5G" in the field of audiovisual media, as well as the joint development of the audiovisual media industry are of great importance. Ismat Sattarov emphasized that establishing sustainable and effective relations between regulatory authorities will strengthen the exchange of experience and contribute to coordinated activities.

Ahmad Ismayilov, Executive Director of the Media Development Agency, emphasized the importance of further developing cooperation in the media sector, noted that expanding institutional ties, implementing joint projects, applying modern technologies, training professional personnel, and promoting mutual exchange of experience are among the main directions of cooperation. He also noted that developing the media environment based on global challenges, especially sharing approaches and mechanisms in the field of combating disinformation, are among the main priorities of mutual activity.

Then, "The Memorandum on Cooperation in the field of Radio and Television Broadcasting between the Audiovisual Council of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the State Administration of Radio Broadcasting and Television of the People's Republic of China" was signed. The purpose of the Memorandum is to develop cooperation in the field of radio broadcasting and television and expand the exchange of experience and personnel.

The Azerbaijani delegation includes Ahmad Ismayilov, Executive Director of the Media Development Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ismat Sattarov, Chair of the Audiovisual Council of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Kamran Hasanov, Head of the Media Sector of the Department for Work with Non-Governmental Organizations and Communication of the Presidential Administration of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Vugar Aliyev, Chair of the Board of the Azerbaijan State News Agency and Rufat Hamzayev, Executive Director of "AnewZ" TV channel.
